Incoterms Application

Incoterms define the relationship exclusively between the seller and the buyer, not affecting any third parties involved in transport. Only one Incoterm is applicable per transport, which cannot be split into separate contracts for sender and recipient; instead, two separate shipments are necessary if a purchase and subsequent sale of goods occur.
Practical Usage of Incoterms:

Pickup:

CIF (Cost, Insurance, Freight): The seller covers everything up to the delivery at the destination port. The buyer then handles pickup, customs clearance, and associated costs.
EXW (Ex Works): All responsibilities lie with the buyer. The seller does not even need to load the goods, and after loading, all seller's responsibilities cease.
FCA (Free Carrier): The seller is responsible for loading the goods or delivering them to the carrier’s warehouse. Once loaded, all responsibilities shift to the buyer. The seller handles customs clearance if needed.

Delivery:

Delivery on premise: For intra-community purchases within the EU, DAP, (Delivery at Place): the seller is responsible for all logistics until the goods are handed over to the warehouse specified by the buyer, is used as there are no customs duties, and VAT is settled by the buyer. For not intra-community purchases the buyer has to agree with the seller with regards to customs fees and duties. If not agreed, it is assumed that the buyer takes all responsibilities.
Specifics in Practice:
For intra-community purchases within the EU, DAP is used as there are no customs duties, and VAT is settled by the buyer.
Delivery by sun.store is available in two scenarios:
1. When a seller offers warehouse pickup (EXW) and the buyer would like sun.store or organise the delivery on premise. In this scenario the buyer pays for delivery directly to sun.store
2. When a seller enables sun.store as a delivery partner. In this scenario the seller pays for delivery directly to sun.store and recovers the costs from buyer.

If negotiations do not alter the order size or delivery address, sun.store will transport goods from the seller's warehouse to the buyer. Changes during negotiation transfer delivery responsibility back to the seller. If additional paperwork is required, delivery time may be extended.

The provided price is an estimation based on the standardized, stackable EURO Pallet® (120x80x180 cm). The weight of the goods affects the price and must be provided. If the weight is not provided, we will obtain it from the product details. Any changes impacting the cost of delivery (change of packaging, weight, pick-up address, readiness of goods, delivery address, etc.) will be charged directly to the transport organiser (buyer or seller).
